Romantic modern industrial wedding inspiration

It was a true honor to have a team of the most incredibly talented vendors come together to and bring my vision to life. I had been dreaming up a inspiration shoot like this for quite some time and it was all that and way more!

It was very important to me that we create a look that was unique, juxtaposing the strength of simple industrial elements like concrete, copper, acrylic, wood, and brick, with the elegance of natural, unstructured, and delicate florals. SF Studio Smith was the perfect venue for this shoot with the original wood floors, white brick walls, and large windows letting in the perfect amount of natural light.

Svenja of Chestnut and Vine Floral Design was an integral part of making this vision come to life. She foraged through a farm in Healdsburg and picked local and sustainable blooms from smaller local vendors at the San Francisco Flower Mart. The large suspended floral installation above the table was a show stopper. The moody centerpieces and rusty tones in the florals accented the copper details, giving an edgy dimension to the design atop the elegant textured linen. The organic and romantic design of both the bridal bouquet and the naturally cascading all-white chic bouquet held by the maid of honor were simply incredible.

The piece that really got the ball rolling and the team of vendors most excited, was the stunning off-white jump suit for the bride to wear instead of a traditional gown. We felt it was the right unique touch that fit in with the overall look of the space and the design we were planning. With the bride’s up do and beautiful makeup, it really was a powerful look. The long, flowing, black dress worn by the maid of honor was romantic and the perfect compliment to the bridal jump suit. Having 2 real couples model was the best decision we made. The natural chemistry was truly beautiful.

In addition to planning, my passion is in creating all of the details that go into the design. I created the invitation, wood signage + calligraphy, acrylic menus, curated the welcome basket, and hand made concrete and copper pipe candle votives. I envisioned a hair pin leg sweetheart table, but was not able to find it as a rental, so I took on the project of making one. It was simply stunning with the grey velvet La Tavola Linen table cloth draped loosely over a portion of the table.

We celebrated the end to a successful shoot by enjoying the trio of cakes that were not only designed to perfection by Red Flour Co., but were delicious too!
